Disrespectful tactics and liars all around

Pros

Remote work, or at least that’s what they say. Mandatory in office starting soon. Firing people not living in Michigan left and right. Hired a ton of people last summer, we’re all gone.

Cons

The CEO will flat out lie to your face. Every couple of weeks he sends out a little video ensuring the companies “success” and that “we’re making moves for the future”. Then proceeds to lay off 3-5 people a month. I personally asked him after a round of layoffs if more would be coming. He told me he does not see a need for that. 3 weeks later I was laid off on a group Teams call with 4 others being laid off. I have NEVER been disrespected so much in my life! No severance, no paid out PTO, not even allowed to asked questions. A group call, seriously?! Next time just send an email. Also, you will be underpaid and over promised. If you’re hired as a Sourcer you will do all the work of a Recruiter for less pay.

Appreciate your perspective and comments and understands your anger is effecting both. Change is not easy when it affects someone’s role and can cause significant emotion. Changes are constant, that’s for certain. And as new information or circumstances arise, decisions need to be made in response to those changes. In many of those videos that were mentioned, there was clarity that changes would occur to create efficiencies and streamline our ability to deliver a top notch service to our clients. That did include changes to a handful of roles including your position as a Sourcer. I am shocked that you feel questions could not have been asked as every member of the team has my personal cell. If you felt that anything was handled in a less than appropriate way, I would be happy to discuss with you. No organization is perfect, however we are always open to constructive discussion to improve. We still with you luck in all you do.

Pros

Overall great colleagues. Workout facilities available at the office. Truly a team work spirit amongst employees.

Cons

THE WORST paranoid, self obsessed, toxic environment creating management EVER. No respectable professional should ever be treated the way executives do to their staff here. 9-10 hours working day is a must in order to even attempt achieving their unrealistic project targets. In the rare instance you actually succeed and qualify for extra commission compensation promised....well let me know if you do ever finally receive payment for those earnings. Been a few years, but I'm sure my checks in the mail.

Thank you for the post. Our expectation is that the work we committed too is completed in a normal work week. As an exempt team member we all pitch in to service our clients and at times it takes extra effort. We are very fortunate to have a great team willing to go the extra mile to properly service our clients.

Pros

There are many good people who work at this company. The company provides access to a free gym on site and the hours are very reasonable. The front desk receptionist/ admin is super nice and so is the head of Marketing.

Cons

Volatile Job Security- if your views are not assimilated with management/owner your employment will be short lived. Although management upholds an "Open Door Policy," realistically this does not exist without repercussions. Due to the fact that Michigan is an at-will employment state you may be terminated at any given time for any given reason. Which can prevent you from voicing your true opinions and actually utilizing the Open Door Policy. While this is stated at your time of hiring, some may say, Qualigence abuses their right to terminate employees due to the extreamly high turnover within the company. Which in turn makes it a very unstable place for employment and to build tenure if you are someone who is an independent thinker. If employed, be sure to have all documentation regarding benefits and company policy. Be sure to contact outside providers when making benefit decisions, rather than verifying with Qualigence directly.

The only time we would immediately terminate someone's employment without notice is for a gross violation of clearly defined rules such as lying, cheating, stealing, etc. In all other instances a performance improbvement plan is utilized to provide guidance to each team member who requires it. If the PiP is satisfactorily completed, it would lead to separation for the company. If you have specific examples where we could improve, please let us know as we always strive to be fair. Keep in mind this type of Information about a team member would never be shared with rest of the team so most would not be aware of what action has been taken. Keep in mind that we have many team members, across every department, who have more than 10 years with the organization. We are so proud of all members, past and present, who have contributed to our success!
