Pros

Company car, that's the only pro.

Cons

Management is a joke. There is no leadership and you are on your own dealing with 7 or more schools usually. There is a remote team but they don't know much and usually defer tickets to the onsite tech. Expect no help from anyone and you will have to work with 3rd party vendors, the schools problems, you have to be a liaison for the network, server, and remote team because they are to scared to talk to any staff themselves. Also during the summer you will get over worked as you are expected to do full inventory on your own, get all the laptops manged and upgraded as well as all Chromebooks. Finally they is 0 opportunity for growth. Once you are in your position your there for life. Again expect no help. Avoid this job like the plague.

Pros

You're given a company vehicle that's entirely paid for. PTO. Laid back when it isn't busy. 20-60 minute drives between client base allows for mental break. Immediate work life with teammates are typically very friendly and encourage a learning environment. Supervisors have your back and genuinely want what's best for you - you aren't seen as a cog in a machine until further up to totem pole

Cons

Multiple 12+ hour days are expected between August and September with unrealistic timelines + no additional compensation. Net Admin time efficiency is utterly disregarded by higher mgmt, and manipulative tactics (preventing employees from leaving, or reaching out afterhours) are preferred to informing techs of deadlines or planning ahead of time The work itself is fairly standard, but the volume can become ridiculous (multiple school districts assigned to a single person who ALSO has to be the communicator for third-party vendors, teachers, staff, custodians etc.) Complimentary meals can be purchased when working late, however no guidelines are given and checks have the opportunity to be deducted without warning (over $100 taken - never spent more than $50) You WILL be disrespected by teachers or staff (and female techs have the wonderful opportunity of being catcalled by students) The sheer volume in which you're expected to work whilst adhering to deadlines is overwhelming and met with nothing but 'encouraging emails' (ie having 100+ tickets but no one to help because everyone in the company is just as overworked)
