Pros

You learn how a company shouldn't be run.

Cons

This company is a joke starting at the top. - The CEO has no clue what is going on with the business and makes rash changes that help no one. - Sales manager tries to strong arm customers into purchasing and lost multiple deals due to this. - The support team doesn't help the customers and leaves them questioning why they chose to bring their business to QuickStart. - I can't begin to count the amount of times that classes were canceled last minute on customers leaving them with time off that was supposed to be used for training. - The product itself is not up to par with the industry standards, in fact I heard the lead engineer say " The platform would break if you threw water at it, I don't know how you guys are able to sell it, but you guys are good at it!" - You spend more time trying to fix problems that someone else caused then being able to do your own job. - Multiple people will be calling on your accounts and end up making not only the company look bad but you as well. - There are no processes or procedures (that make sense at least). - The location of the office in Austin is a nightmare for traffic and the CEO wants you to go there so he can use the office space that he owns because he can't get it leased out. - It's an open floor so it gets loud when people are making calls. - There is no guidance and the "training" they put you through is extremely lacking. - The monthly and quarterly all hands are basically the CEO patting himself on the back for what he thinks is a good job, when in reality he's one of the biggest issues. - The "leads" they give you are nowhere near qualified and are very seldom fruitful. - They say they are accredited with universities that they aren't and you have to explain that to customers. - They want to get the deal in even if the tactics they use are immoral, because as they like to say " Quota and cash are KING."

Saddest part is, when majority of us lack in producing desired results, we start blaming external factors for our failures. That's the reason why companies like QuickStart maintain transparency through their policies, procedures, monthly / quarterly All Hands meetings along customer and employee satisfaction surveys in order to share where we stand and aim to be; and simultaneously provide platform to seek open and honest feedback.

Pros

Sales team is friendly and collaborative. Darren the Sales VP is solid and good to work with. Work/life balance is good.

Cons

It starts from the top down. Leadership is lacking. Focus has shifted away from the customer and quality to now being the low cost provider. In order to do this they cut internal costs, like quality instructors and business tools. They use outsourced overseas instructors for most of their classes now. Outside of sales, most other departments are located in Pakistan which has made the internal processes and communication very slow and inefficient. Unfortunately the end results are - -Increased class cancellations -Horrible communications to our customers. Example, cancelling someone’s class and not notifying them. -Increased billing issues -Slow and lacking customer support They tell us that we’re financially stable, yet all of their actions would indicate otherwise. If not, we wouldn’t have contracted instructors refusing to work with us due to non-payment issues. We also wouldn’t be leaving vendors owing thousands. SAP has refused to work with us. Specific to the sales staff, they continue to ask us to do additional (non-sales) tasks, and have raised quotas by almost double within a 7 month period. At the same time they changed the comp plan, so now the majority of sales staff is making very low to no commission now. The bonus- they now also cap your commissions. You spend a large part of your day checking in on support tickets, class registrations and other items, so that your customers aren’t impacted by the inefficient internal teams and poor support. This including the extra documentation you're required to fill out all takes away from your day and affects your required daily metrics.

We are a Global IT Technical Training Platform company with remote employees in most of the major metro cities in US, Canada, Philippines, Eastern Europe, Pakistan & India with head quarters in Austin Texas. We have a Global customers that are supported with the global team. We are growing company in an industry where the market is shrinking due to our innovative products and business model and this is the reason why we grew 66% this year and there is a line of people that are interested in working with us. We have been funded by our founder and a Venture firm. Hence we are adequately funded, but that does not mean , we will mean that finance is not going to put in process for travel and PO expenses- this is just part of transitioning from a start up to a grown up company. Further, we have a very specific performance improvement plan to either coach people up and increase employee engagement . Employee typically makes the choice of putting in the effort. In your case, we put you on two Performance Improvement Plans over 4 months because we believe in retain people and turning them around and eventually, you were released due to lack of efforts and results. Hopefully, this will result in a great outcome for you and you will thrive in your next carrier move. We wish you nothing but the best in your future endeavors.

Cons

Talk about bait and switch!! This company is nothing but chaos. Communication is a disaster, it takes days to process an order, reporting is non-existent, operations takes no accountability and the CEO has no clue.

Dear Ex-employee, We can imagine your frustration knowing that you were not proficient in managing CRM despite several training on that platform. Also, we are dealing in products and services where we have partnered with world's leading IT companies to train customers on their products by providing on-demand services. QuickStart is big on encouraging its employees to take initiatives, if anyone fails to do so, its obvious for them to blame the entire system. Lastly, we value our customers feedback and keep on improvising our processes in case of need by conducting customer satisfaction surveys every quarter. If this was not the case, QuickStart wouldn't have progress in terms of revenue as compared to last year.
