Thank you for taking the time to comment on your experience at RDK. We believe all staff are vital. We do believe that employees should be passionate about what they do. Perhaps we recognized that engineering wasn’t your true passion and felt that a transition would be beneficial to you and to us. In any case, we do value staff’s desires to increase knowledge and attempt to match employees’ interest in a particular discipline.

Hello, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are, without exception, a real engineering firm. Keeping in mind that a PE is not a requirement for every position, we currently employee 39 licensed engineers and 4 who are in training to achieve their PE license. We offer ongoing training and provide generous continuing education benefits. 126 of our 190 employees possess at least a Bachelor’s degree, while others have completed various certifications or programs in line with their respective roles and career paths. We design real building systems for real clients and bring in real profit. RDK is recognized as a leading MEP firm in the industry. That is how we are able to offer good salary and benefits to our hard-working staff.

Clean office. Good benefits. Great location with gym in the building. Good amount of office parties & opportunities for charity work.

Cons

Constant layoffs. New, old and all around get laid off constantly for no good reason at all. The company is busy.

Dear former employee, Layoffs (and terminations in general) are among the most difficult business decisions we need to make as a company, and the process sometimes takes months as we explore any and all alternatives before letting an employee go. Layoffs are always the last resort. We are sorry to hear that your impression is that we are constantly laying off staff for no reason at all, as this is most certainly not the case. While you are correct that the company is busy, it is not always true that every group or every department is busy, and, unfortunately, we have had layoffs in the past, albeit few and far between. Please be encouraged to check our openings frequently and to apply to any new position that would be a match for your skills. We are careful not to post openings unless there is a good backlog of work. We thank you for taking the time to share your experience and for staying positive.
