Pros

You have a job and a paycheck. Students are great kids. Lots of gossip because someone is always getting fired or quitting.

Cons

Poor pay, very few benefits, don't ever expect a raise, no federal holidays off and difficult to get time off. Vacations are only allowed when students aren't there... which is never. You get a week off during the summer but are forced to use your vacation days. Don't have any vacation days? Then you aren't paid for a week that you are forced to take off because the building is closed. There is no work life balance. The place is POORLY run. Employees quit constantly, there is such a high turnover. If you think you're safe, you're not. You will be fired with 20-30 minutes notice to leave the property. Several top employees have been fired in the last several months, employees who have been there since the START of the company. While you're making $13/hour, management is making 3 figure salaries (with more holidays than you). Your opinion doesn't matter. Did your boss screw up? They will blame it on you. Long hours and weekends. The job you apply for is not the job you will have. You will end up doing 3 other jobs and other people's work. Students are lied to about their facilities whether it is water, heat, air conditioning, food, transportation, etc. Students are not the number 1 priority and neither are you. Do you like to do yardwork? Hope so because you'll be pulling weeds and cutting bushes each summer. Do you like to put together Ikea furniture? You'll also being doing that - no matter WHAT position you are in. Do you enjoy sweating in your office all summer? Good. They shut off the a/c to save money. And heat. Beware before accepting a job there. Talk to other employees.

Pros

- you can grow until you're a senior

Cons

- if you are in a senior role, it's very likely that you will be fired - the company economizes its budget and hires low-qualified employees while firing those in senior roles, creating a never-ending loop :)
