Great People but struggling to get their act together professionally
Pros
Great Co-workers and everyone outside of business are wonderful people to be around. If you like to travel that's exactly what you will do. Majority of your work will be as a consultant for GE if you're in wind and the training from GE is great.
Cons
I had enough and went to a competitor. They are adding several more departments and can't seem to get their act together. Management says one thing but does another. They can't explain Prevailing Wage to employees, how or when to use expense cards, and it seems like they are not paying what they should with the prevailing wage. Management mandates meetings after work on Teams /Zoom which are unpaid along with all other computer-based training. Management instructs you to bill for time doing work activities outside of normal business hours but don't pay you on it. Promises made are often not kept and it seems to be top heavy in management. They hire kids with no experience that are in a technician role and can't even name any basic tools in a tool bag which are no help to the senior Commissioners.
