Pros
This place is beloved by the Bellingham community. It attracts employees who are passionate team players, and the opportunities to connect with people over shared interests are abundant. Under the current program manager, there's a strong ethic of working with the needs of staff members to help them thrive and build their professional skills. The culture of inspiration, community care, and providing quality service make this an excellent team to be a part of.
Cons
This con can be extended to many non-profits, particularly during COVID, and Ragfinery, in all its exceptional-ness, does not escape these drawbacks! Like many non-profits, budgets are tight. We have to be adaptable, resilient, creative, and vigilant about effectiveness and efficiency in our systems. This can be stressful at times.
