Pros

Being with Railsware 3 years I can strongly say that this is the best company so far in my life! I really like the vibe, smart people, interesting projects, and absolute freedom in my work!
It might be hard to join the company, and it takes some effort in the beginning, but you’ll not regret! The company is remote-driven (we still do have offices in Kyiv & Krakow), and I can easily plan the day how I want! The comprehensive package of support is on Railsware, and I don’t need to worry about my health insurance, gym, home office, education, or any other perks! These 3 years were damn good and full of bright moments, unforgettable team gatherings in different locations & life-changing experiences! If you’re looking for stable growth, freedom in everything what you do, a place to experiment – Railsware is the right choice!

Cons

Sometimes I might feel the lack of transparency & feedback but this all depends from the team where you at and people/context you work with. I personally see that the company is really feedback-driven and always iterates to a better version ;)

Product management in its best

Pros

Company hires really best people everywhere, so I, as a product lead, can focus on the product growth rather than project or people management. I have space to try my ideas, frameworks, approaches as long as team and product guild is sharing their craft and experience. Be ready to be challenged by engineers with questions like „Why do we do this feature, and not that? Who are competitors and what are they doing?”. Everyone around are T-shaped, so they do have inputs and also everyone opinion matters. It does not mean you can’t make your decisions, it just means that you have dozens of ideas from different contributors. And idea from content writer has same value as an idea from CEO. Almost forgot: great work/life balance together with faster productivity than you can see in other companies. This is reached by working with mature senior-level experts in the team.

Cons

There are several products on each products and usually all big decisions are crafted together. They are definitely better than one PdM can make on their own, but just something you need to get used to. It’s hard to measure your personal success and contribution in this way.

Nice company to work at

Anonymous employee

Pros

Data-driven approaches, a decent package of benefits and salary, flexible working hours, freedom to work remotely, no bureaucracy

Cons

The long and too complex selection process, tense corporate culture - you don't feel to be a part of a united open-minded team. Even though the company has been around for many years, it feels like working for a startup (processes in some departments are cumbersome and disorganized).
