Pros

The hourly employees are all awesome people, and the only reason this company isn't one-star. The HR team is helpful and attentive.

Cons

The salary employees (upper management) are almost all self-righteous, high society aspirants. There is a "golden circle." Certain employees who are in the CEO's friend group will ALWAYS get what they want, regardless of the viability of their ideas/requests One employee was fired because they refused to remotely work during their already-approved vacation time. Another employee (who has MS) was fired for "attendance," after being repeatedly denied to work from home while many other employees are fully remote and performing the same type of duties. The CEO makes a point of glorifying the company's "core values," and preaches that the team is a "family," but two employees tell me the CEO instructed a traveling employee to abandon two other employees on the side of the road when they had a flat tire (there were two vehicles traveling to a trucking convention in Kentucky). Certain employees who have been with the company for over 7 years have begged for a raise and rejected due to "the economy," but another employee in the "Golden circle" throws a tantrum at not getting their own sizeable raise and walks out of the building, the next day the CEO approves their raise.

Pros

Absolutely amazing... huge growth potential, layback and family oriented culture. This is one of the last Mom and Pops style companies left that can truly impact you and your career for life.

Cons

Literally not one. This company continues to amaze me day in and day out with its culture and vision in a world that has lost focus on what and who makes them successful.

Pros

Comfortable working environment Nice people Nice atmosphere

Cons

This company was purchased by private equity, and has quickly gone downhill. They are acquiring multiple subsidiaries quickly, but not retaining any staff from the companies they purchase, and pushing tons of extra work on existing employees. The pay here is 30-40% less than the average for the position (unless you are in a very high level role like Chief Financial Officer, VP of Finance etc.) You will be forced to do many things well outside your job role, with no guidance or training. And if you don't do it right, you will be singled out and blamed for it. Communication is terrible between departments, there is no standard workflow or SOCs, and many broken systems in place that upper management refuses to accept or change. They also regularly hire for big well paying roles outside the company, so good luck trying to move up anywhere unless the person directly above you leaves. This company is likely going to be sold soon (within the next year or 2) and they are focused on cutting expenses, and increasing profit as much as they can quickly with no regard to employees feelings. It's very easy for them to fire you quickly if you try to go against the grain and question any of their decisions or processes, so it's best to just go with the flow.
