Pros

interesting area to work in- people with dementia who want to take part in research. Central London location so can travel from various places

Cons

The working conditions are bad bad bad. Don't let anybody tell you otherwise. Nobody stays there long enough as employees are so unhappy and worked to death by the CEO who does not care about anyone's life. If you are considering working here, ask HR how many people left in the last 6 months? The office is always disorganised with all staff running around trying to sort out problems on a daily basis. Staff roles and responsibilities are never fixed when they are supposed to be and sometimes we were being asked to do menial jobs. There is hardly any workspace and sometimes there is nowhere to even put your laptop. Also ask about annual leave- you only get 20 days a year!!!!!!! This place is such a joke and will make you miserable. Please, dont go there unless you are desperate. Don't let anyone convince you otherwise.

Thank you for your response. It is great to see that you enjoyed working in our Harley Street office. It is a shame to see that you felt unhappy, it is our priority to ensure that all our staff feel valued and appreciated with all the work they do. It’s advised that if you are unhappy in any work situation that you talk to your line manager and work to address any issues. Through staff feedback we have implemented a wide range of employee benefits for all of the team including an increase in annual leave entitlement, Perkbox, team building activities amongst others.

Pros

- Good location (central london) - Quick progression as long as you're willing o sacrifice your sanity and social life! - Health insurance (if you last as long as your notice period)

Cons

Don't need to say to much here as others have covered the important bits (ignore the positive reviews - these are clearly senior management trying to save face!) Don't get won over by the fairyale they will try to sell you, this place will consume you and toss your bones on the pile of former employees who have left under a bad cloud! And trust me it's a big pile!!

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. Some full time positions, especially given the nature of our business, require team members to work on Saturdays and we have processes in place which allow individuals to claim a day back in lieu or be paid for the day. We have increased our employee benefits and have an extensive range which include Perkbox, Vitality, monthly team building activities and an increased annual leave allowance for all of our staff.

Pros

It's a job. Most likely your first job in the industry or first job out of university. That is the usual demographic. Many of you reading this will be focused on that aspect and may have limited options. With this in mind, consider this review as an insight into what you will be walking into. Hopefully this will allow you to try to protect your sense of worth. You will hopefully find comfort in the shared misery of your colleagues.

Cons

There are many points already mentioned in previous reviews, and many commonalities. Please take some time to read over the responses to negative reviews provided by Re:Cognition Health. You will see the following course of action: 1. Deny, deny, deny. 2. Question both the validity of the review and the competence of the reviewer, suggesting that he/she was ill-suited to the "fast-paced" working environment. 3. Add a passive aggressive hope that this employee will find something more suited to their (apparently limited) capabilities. These responses demonstrate better than anything I could write here the culture of blame and bullying. Reports of employees being brought to tears are unfortunately not fabricated. The company line of high employee turnover being typical of the particular industry is without grounds. High employee turnover is due to rampant dissatisfaction. Secondly, carefully look at the positive reviews. You will notice five having been published over one twenty-four hour period (22nd December). These obviously solicited reviews are a damning indictment of the lack of integrity and transparency in this company. Between the retaliations to negative reviews and the solicited positive reviews, the company is revealed. Here is perfectly demonstrated the insecurity, the fear, the micro-management and petty power plays at work.
