There is a huge disconnect between upper management and everyone else. Coordinators are disconnected and often live in fear of rocking the boat. DEI efforts are lackluster and not part of the culture. Managers micromanage and put a lot of pressure on their teams. The beginning of the year can be overwhelming due to lack of resources. Also, there is no formal training for new staff. They will hire you, feed you to the wolves, and then fire you if you can't survive. There is no room for growth either. My advice, if you need a quick check for a year try it out but if you value your sanity and mental health stay far far away. You have been warned.

Lack of training. There was no training on how to troubleshoot serious issues as they may come in schools (protocols for reporting abuse/violence/behavior issues in classrooms). The organization is also not very diverse yet the schools that they target are predominately in communities of color. The organization should reflect the communities they are going into.
