A top notch place to work at ... at one point in time. I've worked at a variety of engineering service companies over the years, and RTC was once one of the best engineering service companies in Phoenix. The company has gone through some changes recently so if you appreciate the following, then this place is perfect for you: - Maximize the company profit: RTC provides below average pay with above average stress. Pay cuts are used to further maximize their revenue when employees move between projects. - Maximize the company profit (part 2): A company that saves money by informing employees that company meetings are voluntary and are not paid - A management team that has a lot of potential: An inexperienced management team that focuses on profit and doesn't waste time on silly stuff like employee happiness. - A great place to work: A management team that will take credit for success and identify employees responsible for failure. Thus, it's a great place to work for the management team. - Lower employee stress: You don't have to struggle on deciding which programs to work on due to the dwindling projects for future work. - An engineering team that has a lot of potential: At one point, RTC was known for it's highly experienced staff. Most of the talented staff has left and been replaced with more inexperienced (and cheaper) staff. With proper direction and years of experience, the engineering staff may be become productive again in the future.
Cons
I will put nothing negative about RTC due to advice I received from other former RTC employees. They warned me that the executive management team has a fondness for lawyers. Thus, I believe there is NOTHING negative about working at RTC. It's top notch. I am disappointed that I haven't seen any glowing and positive reviews on RTC. I was expecting to see something written up by a member of the RTC management staff (or one of their minions) supporting my statement that RTC is a top notch place to work at.
