It's kind of you to leave a review, but we don't have a receptionist. Maybe you're referring to a different company?

Pros

Some fairly sizable clients Some friendly staff fairly easy commute if you live in the rural surrounding areas. Staff regularly share knowhow in a meeting style or training style enviroment

Cons

I really wanted to leave a positive review and if you'd asked me to review in my first few months I would have done. However, after almost two years of service I have not recieved fair or competitive pay, despite my role being advertised as such. I would say that im verging on a midweight role but after some research it seems I've been set a payed internship equivelant pay packet. The company is very slow to adapt to change and many of the top staff have moved on during my time here. Being fairly rural and low wages, it's a struggle to replace staff. It's very difficult to have any room for a carer progression and the formal training to staff is rare.

I'm managing director at Receptional. If this is a genuine review and you don't feel we've lived up to expectations, then I would encourage you to let me know. I want everyone at Receptional to feel valued and to be able to progress. For anyone who isn't familiar with Receptional, it's probably worth mentioning that we have career reviews every six months. Our aim is that they should be a thorough assessment of each individual's performance. We agree goals and outline career development opportunities. We outline the skills and standards we expect from each individual. We have job descriptions for each role. And, hopefully, everyone has a sense of what they need to do to progress in their careers. We want everyone at Receptional to be the best at what they do. I can't think of any occasion when we have refused a request for additional training and support. In the past year we have encouraged every individual to develop a specialism. We fund external courses including CIM qualifications. We run weekly training sessions in-house, too. Last year we benchmarked our salaries against the market to ensure everyone is paid the market rate or more. And we will do so again this year. It can be difficult to find the right people and that's why it's important that everyone is well rewarded.
