Pros

Founder has success with previous startups so he knows what he's doing and allows you to grow within your department with complete autonomy. Company seems to be very profitable, so pay is competitive and there are the benefits of free lunch once a week, team building activities, fully stocked kitchen, awesome, beautiful people to work with.

Cons

Growing at a very high rate, so might of lost that family feel a little bit.

Pros

- Smart, motivated, caring, and supportive staff - Awesome perks: catered lunch once a week, health/wellness stipend, snacks, patios to sit on and work, good work-life balance, company outings, casual dress code - Opportunity to work on an important issue and make a difference - Culture that encourages staff input from every level and seeks regular feedback on how to improve company culture - Challenging work - Cool location - Staff who truly care about the company's mission to help people - Autonomy to complete projects without someone looking over your shoulder - High morale

Cons

Company is going through some transitions in the industry and from being acquired by AAC. However, I'm confident in leadership and staff to handle these challenges.

Never felt more undermined in a job.

Pros

Great benefits. Reasonable pay. Tasty, free lunches once a week. Some very cool personalities in this company.

Cons

Overall, I've never felt more undermined and restricted in a job than I felt here. I'm not going to get too specific here, because I'm not interested in getting penalized for trying to help other people out with my honest opinion. My disclaimer up front is that I can only speak for the department I worked in. Since I am not giving specifics, here's my advice, if you're considering working here: ask the company to connect you with at least 3 people in your department doing your role (or working closely with people in your role). It's important that you get an insider's opinion from people doing your role. Particularly people who share your kind of qualifications, gender, interests, goals, etc. Do favoritisms, biases, or discriminations bother you? Talk to your RB insiders about this. I'm not going to make a general company accusation here – that would be unfair. I had a bad personal experience in my department. Most people here work in an open-office environment. Keep in mind all that that entails and if you can work effectively with that. Don't expect your voiced ideas to necessarily lead to any kind of constructive changes here – even where you think it will really help your department or the company, as a whole. If you just need a paycheck and you can accept the possibility of a dead-end job, then go for it. It won't be dead-end if you consider this job a stepping stone to another job with a different company down the road.

To begin, I appreciate you taking the time to provide feedback. Obviously, our hope at RB is that each individual employee experience is ultimately positive and rewarding, and it sounds like you had some challenges that perhaps we could have addressed differently to have provided you an experience that felt, well, better. We care deeply about our people and are always striving for improvement, and with growth, sometimes comes constructive feedback that we certainly value--yours included. Our commitment to fairness and diversity is a point of pride at RB and our communications, mission, and strategic decisions reflect that commitment. We'll continue to evolve the employee experience to ensure that every member of our team feels supported by his or her peers, aligned with the mission to help those struggling with addiction, and valued overall. Thank you again for your feedback.
