      Pros

      - Some of the best, most committed employees I've ever worked with - One of very few companies in the video games/pop culture sector for writers

      Cons

      - Massive recent layoffs at the company, with seemingly more planned - Upper management seem largely unconcerned and remorseless about job losses - Poor support from many department heads in general - Low starting salaries and small incremental pay rises - General feeling of unease running through the company right now

      Good flexibility in working hours.

      Cons

      Clearly the company does not care about editorial. If you are considering a position in this area then understand that this company mostly focuses on events and will operate on an almost cutthroat mentality with regards to other areas. Poor pay, poor communication and the tendancy to gaslight employees into sticking around until they are no longer necessary make this place an extremely difficult place to work.

      If not white and male, beware

      Pros

      The health benefits are better than other places I've worked

      Cons

      Diversity is spoken about but never reflected in action or make up. Executive team is all white and male. If you are not, or friends with that group, there is little chance for opportunities or to be listened to. If you are white and male, the standards for "success" are much lower than other groups, and you will advance much faster. My coworkers and I expressed frustration as we watched this happen many times, but were not listened to.
