      Pros

      There are a lot of good people at Relypsa and the size is perfect for me.

      Cons

      Old CEO is gone and with him went the integrity of senior staff. Upper management is overly political and allow/perpetual sexist work practices/glass ceilings. What men are allowed to do and what women are allowed to do are completely different.

      Having a full time job with benefits (healthcare, 401k)

      Cons

      Quite a few. The company was purchased by a Swiss company two years ago. Since then Relypsa has been in decline. Most of the good talent has moved on. The atmosphere is one of anticipation of being laid off or increased workloads due to employee attrition. There is very poor communication between the parent company and Relypsa employees. There is no longer a family/friendly atmosphere to work in since most employees are just biding their time.

      HR department objectives and priorities change frequently Base salary is low compared to responsibilities and competition Most improvements you bring are turned down, lack of growth opportunity Bias, micromanagement culture and lack of trust from HR upper management.
