While initially presented as an entry-level marketing role, the job is heavily focused on sales activities, including direct selling and recruiting others to join the company. The company’s structure and methods resemble those of a multi-level marketing (MLM) organization, which was not made clear during the hiring process. This discrepancy between the job title and the actual duties was disappointing and did not align with my career goals. Additionally, the emphasis on recruitment and sales targets creates a high-pressure environment that may not be suitable for everyone. The morning meeting is a motivational speech followed by employees non-stop practicing the sales pitch for selling AT&T products. This is OK if you are looking for a sales job, but I personally was not looking for a sales job, even though it was heavily emphasized that sales are the “least important part of the job”.
