Pros

Fun and positive work culture, the employees are friendly and extremely enthusiastic.

Cons

While initially presented as an entry-level marketing role, the job is heavily focused on sales activities, including direct selling and recruiting others to join the company. The company’s structure and methods resemble those of a multi-level marketing (MLM) organization, which was not made clear during the hiring process. This discrepancy between the job title and the actual duties was disappointing and did not align with my career goals. Additionally, the emphasis on recruitment and sales targets creates a high-pressure environment that may not be suitable for everyone. The morning meeting is a motivational speech followed by employees non-stop practicing the sales pitch for selling AT&T products. This is OK if you are looking for a sales job, but I personally was not looking for a sales job, even though it was heavily emphasized that sales are the “least important part of the job”.

Dear Reviewer, We would like to thank you for sharing your experience working with our team. We recognize that every interaction has the ability to be a learning experience and we welcome learning, growth and development here at our firm. As a company we focus on both sales and marketing endeavors. Our entry level roles involve both sales and marketing aspects. While, we do work practice sales that does not mean all companies that do sales quantify as Multi-Level Marketing. Multi-Level Marketing is it's own faction of sales, typically that requires the individual to cover the cost of any products they may sell before they can work with the firm and then sell said product to individuals within their personal network. The sales that we practice are direct to consumer within retail and we pay all our employees through the training process, at no point do they pay for products. When it comes to our job descriptions we do our best to be as transparent as possible while also being cognizant that the role is entry level and thus should not be filled with industry jargon and specifics. You are right that career goals at our firm are quite important and our team is driven to hit our goals; thus the role isn't necessarily for those that don't share some of these common goals of career growth and progression. We apologize that the role, wasn't a good fit for you and that is completely understandable as it is not for everyone, we understand that and we truly wish you the best of luck on your future pursuits.

Reviewer, First off, we would like to start by thanking you for your feedback as we appreciate feedback regardless of the nature! Secondly, we truly appreciate you complimenting our environment and culture! Additionally, we are sorry to hear that you felt as if the hours were too late. At our firm we do work with retailers and as a result sometimes end up working a bit later than the typical 9-5 however this typically is only till about 7 or 8 pm which isn't necessarily that unreasonable. Furthermore, the candidates that we seek usually come from restaurant, retail, customer service and the like where the hours are somewhat similar or in our case sometimes more easy to manage. We do realize that for those that are expecting a typical 9-5 position it can be different to get used to; however we also offer split shifts and we do not pretend to be like a 9-5 in fact we pride ourselves in being different from that. We understand that putting in more hours and more work over a short period of time will reap a reward in growth and opportunity in the long run. At Remark we do realize that this position is not for everyone as well and that is perfectly okay it's not meant to be. Lastly, as far as no consideration we have to admit that is deeply concerning to us we will definitely look into what occurred there to cause that kind of reaction. We truly pride ourselves in our how much we truly invest in our employees to help them enrich their lives both personally and professionally. Thus, we will definitely look into what caused this disconnect further. Again, we truly appreciate your feedback and honesty. We are sorry that you were not able to find a good fit here, but of course wish you the best of luck on your search. Human Resources Remark Acquisitions
