Pros

Great space with beautiful lighting

Cons

An environment full of very toxic individuals. When they aren't busy talking about each other behind their backs they are constantly exploiting Latino culture. I never knew that Latinos could exploit other Latinos. They pride themselves in being "woke" and breaking stereotypes but the truth is 90% can't even speak fluent Spanish and they only write/create to gain views/shares. The CEO is also an intolerable individual- you never know when he is in a good or bad mood and he never pays attention in meetings. Extremely unprofessional and favoritism is played constantly. There is this horrible cliquey vibe everywhere and they all like to blame each other instead of assuming part responsibility when things go wrong. For a place where most people are in their late 20s or early 30s I am shocked that they all act like a bunch of teenagers. This is just a place that has a very small amount of hype and they all ride off of it as if they were doing life-changing work. Learn to be humble and mindful. I would never recommend anyone to work here.

A brand that doesn't hold up to its values

Pros

Having the ability to work in a predominantly Hispanic/Latino company was very refreshing. The company prides itself in creating a platform that accurately represents its Latinx Millennial audience by telling stories that matter and focusing on emerging subcultures.

Cons

The CEO is ego-centric, selfish and two-faced with an agenda solely focused on making profit, rather than creating a nurturing and conducive environment that uplifts his employees. Working long, strenuous hours, while earning an underpaid salary is expected. There's a complete lack of organization and structure needed for a functioning media company. The overall company culture is unprofessional. There are plenty of employees who are keen to gossip and it would come to no one's surprise that the CEO is either flirting or dating an employee. Psychological abuse is a common tactic used by the CEO to make his employees feel inferior to him. He doesn't care to be disrespectful and is extremely condescending, especially towards women.

Pros

Staff is young, smart, and nice. They all deserve to be working somewhere else, where they are not disrespected, underpaid, and overworked.

Cons

Staff is young, smart, and nice. My experience at Remezcla was very negative due to one person - Andrew Herrera, the CEO. He takes over management roles and , as a result, makes it impossible for everyone to do their job properly. Not only is he exteremely difficult to work with, due to his inability to focus and be efficient, but he’s also on of the most immoral people I’ve ever met. He’s disrespectful, condescending, and unprofessional, especially towards women. He constantly makes derogatory comments about his female employees’ weight and physical appearance. The comments he made to me while I was working there are definitely lawsuit worthy
