Pros

Great culture and work / life balance. Office is fantastic.

Cons

Please just do your research before making a decision. I was new to EdTech and learned they lay people off the second they have a financial downfall. I was recruited to Remind from a solid job at a Fortune 500 company, only to have my role eliminated 2.5 months later. It seemed so arbitrary that they would even hire me if they could not afford it? My time there was great, but the stress of the lay off was not worth any of it. On top of it, I was told I would get help looking for new positions in the industry, and I didn’t. I just truly want them to know how terrible it was, and hope they were at least, on a personal level, a little remorseful.

Thank you for the feedback. As a startup technology company, we test and try new processes. Especially in the sales department, we inflate and deflate as we learn the business cycles. Sometimes we fail at a potential business opportunity only to succeed in another area. With every hire and departure - it's on us to make sure we make better decisions in the future. We hope you have found a place where you can be successful and we are sorry it didn't work out here.

Pros

The employees hustle and are passionate about education.

Cons

All the cons you read in other reviews is spot on. So let this be one more voice that they don't value employees and it's a very toxic environment. Men will get promoted and move up far more than women. They like to recruit based on referrals which isn't good for culture, it's not a diverse company. The cliques are big and they let you know day 1 you will not be accepted.

Thank you for your feedback. I'm sorry that you felt we don't value employees. We work very hard to get feedback (Engagement Survey twice a year) and to create an inclusive environment. Our DEI committee is extremely active in making sure our hiring processes are committed to finding diverse candidates. And our Performance Review process includes a calibration component at the department and company level to insure fairness and remove bias. I'm sorry working here did not work out and we appreciate you letting us know how we can improve.
