Pros

I absolutely love my job! This is a company with values I thought did not exist anymore. I feel like I am a part of a team. They want to hear my opinion and what I have to bring to the table. The CEO is kind and very generous especially with time off and holiday. This is truly a family oriented company. They strive to provide the best for their employees.

Pros

Retailcomm is a great place to work. Here are the top reasons why I like working here. 1. People: The people are the best. There is an awesome sense of comradery around the office. The people at retailcomm are genuinely some of the best people I have ever worked with. They are hardworking, genuine and honorable. 2. Perks: retailcomm has a bunch of cool perks. Dogs in the office, Donuts or breakfast tacos on a regular enough basis to affect my waist line, Happy hour events, Monday night movies at the office, Flexible work schedules, Work from home opportunities, Good health, vision & dental insurance, Retirement fund matching, Competitive pay and Bonuses for exceeding earnings goals. 3. Opportunity and Accounts: retailcomm has great clients, so the projects are also great. retailcomm works with both big and small companies. People that work hard, exhibit sound judgment and drive are rewarded with tons of opportunity and autonomy. 4. Honesty and Care: The leadership at retailcomm offers honest answers to all questions when asked. The president has an open-door policy and anyone can schedule time with her to review any questions/concerns they have. Years ago, retailcomm lost a giant piece of business (almost 1/3 of annual revenue) with only 30 days’ notice. Most agencies would simply have gone through a layoff. The owner at retailcomm decided to keep every single employee no matter what the cost. Eventually all of that revenue was regained and all of the employees were retained. This is exceptionally unique in the agency world.

Cons

No company is perfect. Retailcomm is far from perfect for everyone. Generally, most agencies are fairly challenging places to work. They can be the most awesome or most terrible of all jobs (often at the same time). People get to work on ground breaking ideas that push the boundaries of marketing, unfortunately it is always on a tight timeline and with clients that are asking us to reduce the budget. Newsflash – this is uniformly true in the agency world. I am sure that some people see retailcomm only for its flaws. Those people that hate retailcomm don’t last long. Could retailcomm be more tech savvy? Probably yes. Could retailcomm be better at marketing itself and earning new business? For sure. Could retailcomm develop a more robust college outreach & recruiting program? Absolutely! Like any company, retailcomm has flaws. One difference is that retailcomm is actively working to absorb best practices from current employees and learning to mitigate things that are not optimal.

Continually Growing and Becoming Better Every Day

Pros

Working at retailcomm is a joy! I've been blessed to work here for a while now, and it's been amazing to see how leadership is taking our ideas and implementing them. They've really worked on adding perks to improve our work-life balance. We already had the ability to bring dogs to work and work-from-home for most roles, but this year, they also initiated flex-time. It's been a game-changer in all the best ways! You can tell that the leadership is always looking for ways to improve work-life balance. Things can get busy and stressful when there are tight deadlines, but working here really is work hard and play hard! We've had some super fun happy hours, lots of breakfasts and lunches provided by retailcomm, and a TALENT SHOW! To say it was awesome is an understatement! If you're looking for a place to be recognized for hard work, to grow in your career, have fun with an incredible team of people, and be heard, retailcomm could be for you!

Cons

There are some incredibly busy times in the industry of experiential, and it can be stressful. However, if you've got grit and determination to do your job well, you can get through it. Since the company is still growing, each member of the team is really vital to its success. It's not the company for someone who wants to take a backseat on the team.
