Pros

There are talented and hard working people in the company

Cons

Management pretends they care about the staff, but their actions indicate they care nothing but the bottom line. The CFO and COO are constantly playing power games against each other, creating endless amount of politics. Workload is crazy as management is unwilling to invest in technology to automate process, hence people are always struggling with manual work and blamed for mistakes. Turnover is skyrocketing since a year ago. HR went through almost 100% turnover; operations had at least 50% turnover and finance just started a massive turnover as well.

hard to move up in the company really low rates of pay unfair in rates so that employees that have been there for years are making the same as the new employees for the same job

Pros

Senior Care is an area that needs quality of life and care at the forefront. I have worked with many senior Team members and front-line workers that hold this philosophy, which is why I chose to stay for many years, however, unfortunately these like-minded people were a minority at RC as the good ones are pushed out/terminated or they leave realizing the RC philosophy is sick.

Cons

As above, the majority of the Senior Team, owners & CEO act from the priority of For Profit; fill beds with bodies, without consideration for being able to meet each individuals needs. Often the finger is pointed at a Manager and/or DOC, whom are forced to follow the owners philosophy and/or simple lack of support. Families & the Health Authorities need to be the voices that change a broken system which unacceptable. A huge shift needs to occur in RC & other facilities which act as "homes" up to 150 Seniors with dementia at one time. This type of housing needs to stop.
