      They are trying to solve a hard problem.

      Cons

      The people and the process. Their interview process is one of the worst in the industry or they are just a bunch of tech Bros trying to do biotech. Not sure which one. They give you 15 minutes of a conversation in which their people talk most of the time, don't care about what you can do, so I guess they are just looking at you and deciding. Then they donot bother following up for weeks. Definitely not a process I have seen with any serious Biotech company. I believe they are looking for more tech Bros to join them instead of serious scientists!

      Pros

      Talented, driven group of individuals. A lot of freedom for scientists. Some research is interesting, but in an increasingly competitive area.

      Cons

      Run like a tech company with no experienced biotech veterans in senior leadership or on board of company - toxic culture, lack of scientific rigor, old/nonfunctional instruments, and poor leadership. Some team leads are great, but others are very inexperienced and lack people skills or scientific acumen to be in their position. The facilities are in poor conditions – we had bugs, rodents, and broken HVAC so the temperature reached 90ºF in labs. Senior leadership has questionable ethics and doesn’t see a need for HR.
