Cons
This was the most dysfunctional place I have ever encountered. The CEO had serious issues, and single-handedly took the company down to near bankruptcy by offending and embarrassing the few clients who provided 90% of our income. The CEO and CRO behaved like a divorced couple with the staff as their children. The CEO would tell staff to do something one way, then the CRO would be angry that staff followed her direction, and vice versa. The crazy-making of the CEO was without limit. She was constantly changing her mind or forgetting entirely what she had said - even within the same day. I could understand if only one or two people on staff had experienced this, but it was the same for everyone. Truly, the worst place I have ever worked. When I left, I felt amazingly free from the drama and counterproductive holding pattern. My professional life since then has fortunately been with functional, productive individuals.
