Leadership: Half of the directors (the ones who have been around the longest sadly) are the main reason for all the problems. They routinely get rid of any other director or associate director (I've literally known 6 in programs/outreach/ministry come and go in 2 years) just for disagreeing with them about how staff should be treated or ways to improve things. (I heard one of the good directors was fired and a lot of the staff quit recently, but the horrible ED was fired and replaced so I can't say if things have got worse or improved since this huge turn over took place.)
Staffing: Long history of discrimination (skin color, religion, political views, or personal life can get you fired). Zero transparency on a lot of decisions from leadership. Very little PTO and they don't observe any holidays but Thanksgiving and Christmas. Hours are generally afternoons/nights/weekends so it's impossible to have a life. Doesn't care about your safety and it's not the best area at night. Turnover on staff is REALLY high (especially programs). People stick around because they get attached to the kids but this place will seriously effect your mental health.
