Stuck in the old ways

This company is still growing so there are many opportunities for growth within the company

Cons

Many of those opportunities were filled through nepetism. Unqualified family members of the board of directors were placed in positions of power. This company also is stuck in old office culture. One example is that all positions are onsite although most can be remote without loss of productivity.

Pros

Company has a strong market position and is committed to manufacturing in Queens, NYC. Family-owned, the company has one of the most diverse work forces in America, treats its people fairly, and strives to satisfy the customer base.

Cons

Company does not have a modern HR function, and many of the senior managers have little experience of how other companies work (this is not totally a bad thing!).
