Pros

Elite individual contributors across the board, everyone seems to be putting as much effort as there is to make things work.

Cons

Both executive and middle management seem to operate without a real plan. KPIs, OKRs, and planning feel like cargo cult rituals rather than decision-making tools. The culture expects everyone to be their own product manager, forcing engineers to reverse-engineer customer needs instead of solving well-defined problems. Priorities shift monthly - if not weekly. Everything is treated as urgent, which means nothing gets delivered on time. Cross-organizational alignment is virtually nonexistent: temporary hacks and workarounds rarely evolve into stable product features. Most of this is fixable. The real problem is that management doesn't listen.

Pros

There is not a single positive about this employer.

Cons

I was offered this particular role towards the end of April 2026. My employment contract was signed by myself and Rossum's CEO in early May. I then resigned from my current role, which I had been in for five years. Little did I know, but Rossum was undergoing an acquisition - which, obviously, the signatory on the contract knew about - by Coupa, which was announced in the days after my contract was counter-signed. Now, clearly a 'Head of Brand' role is no longer relevant if the brand is about to be swallowed up by a larger one. Despite my best efforts to reach Rossum, I failed; about a week and a half went by before I received a call telling me, via a pre-written statement, that my upcoming employment had been terminated. Now, with unemployment staring me squarely in the face - a terrifying prospect given I have three children to support and a mortgage to pay - surely Rossum would do the decent thing and pay me a month, maybe even two, to give me some time to look for a new role. Well, no. They offered one week. I tried to negotiate, but it was a hard no. This has been a genuinely horrific, life-changing experience for myself and my family - causing me no end of stress and, well, pure panic. I have suffered greatly, purely because of how Rossum has chosen to act. In hindsight, I'm sure I'll be glad to have dodged a bullet. But to anyone thinking of joining Rossum (or, indeed, Coupa), I have one bit of advice: don't, you're better than that. And Claude can do intelligent document processing anyway.
