Pros

Some great colleagues making your time more meaningful there

Cons

This company takes no responsibility whatsoever. While reading some Glassdoor reviews is clear how bad they are trying to discredit actual employees reviews. On one hand, I see couple of obvious 5 stars fake reviews. On the other hand, what a way to reply to negative reviews with such passive aggressive tone. Also, Why are you inviting employees to bring their feedback to management when it has never been taken into consideration…. Employees surveys, official HR complaints, feedback sessions with team leaders, etc. Nothing has happened so far! What is clear is that team leaders, Management and C level are untouchable. Please take feedback seriously because you will be left with no one by your side but the inexperienced managers. They are just taking your money to do really nothing. In a team of 30 BDRs, a lot of them have either left or are planning to do so. So instead of blaming and ignoring them for speaking up, listen to them and finally do something about it.

Pros

Rossum still has money to burn but very little else going on. The management team has put together a 5 year Gosplan on how to win the IDP market predicated in better data extraction. This is a commodity service with 40+ players already in the game. Wish them luck!

Cons

This company is living proof of why academics make for such poor business leaders. Very little SaaS experience in the executive ranks. The CEO is incompetent and he’s taking the company down with him. They’ve brought in the executive B-team from TalkWalker. Anyone associate this company with innovation, disruption or market leadership? I think not. You can’t win the IDP market through cost cutting and a half-baked SEO strategy. When the story of Rossum is put to rest, it will be a case study of how you burn through the biggest A-round of funding while having little or nothing to show for it (think of DataRobot and Hyperscience).

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback on your experience at Rossum. While we understand your concerns about the current state of the company and the challenges we face in the IDP market, we believe that our unique approach to data capture and processing sets us apart from our competitors. With the co-founders coming from the academic world, we have intentionally completed the leadership team with executives who possess different experiences and perspectives. We believe that diverse opinions and perspectives lead to innovation and eventual success. We're continuously working on enhancing our team's expertise, including bringing in executives with a wide range of experience in other companies that are relevant to us. Regarding the advice to sell the IP, we remain confident in our long-term vision and our ability to make a significant impact in the IDP space. While managing US sales efforts from international locations presents its challenges, we have a dedicated team focused on the US market, and we are continuously evaluating ways to optimize our operations and expand our presence. We appreciate your insights and will carefully consider your feedback as we continue to grow and evolve. Tomas Gogar

Pros

Gain a lot of experience on how NOT to do things

Cons

- No trust - Us vs them mentality with leadership - Product direction is headed towards failure - Extremely competitive market where Rossum is not differentiated - Startup that tries to act like a multi billion $ corporation (worst of both worlds) - CEO is very emotional and acts irrationally

It's unfortunate that you feel our company culture, product direction, and market differentiation are lacking. We continuously strive to create a positive and trusting work environment and remain dedicated to our company mission. That’s why we have no plans to sell the business. In regards to your comments about Tomas, our CEO, we really think that is not constructive at all. You are right, taking risks and sometimes failing is part of our culture, and thanks to this, we have been able to build an amazing product that is used by top companies and backed by top investors. So we don’t think we are wasting anyone’s time.
