Long hours, difficult to hit bonuses, disconnected upper management, poor training, negative culture

If you like having added duties with no added pay this is the Job for you

Cons

Paid per service makes more than you. I do not use the benefits. Continually adds more work and no increase in pay.

The people at the location I worked at were excellent to work with

Unfortunately I had managers from different locations wanting to manage what I did. As an account executive you have a branch location manager, a region manager, Area sales manager, a regional manager, and a division manager all wanting to keep tabs on your performance. Obviously way too many people with way too much time on their hands. Their commission structure is so dysfunctional they took the better part of a day explaining it during training. Your sales goals are not real world. I.e. their focus in on getting ventilators to patients. You have no control over this but if you don't sell at least 2 a month you get put on the "bad girl" list. This isn't a sales job it is a relationship building job, with your main focus on establishing relationships with Dr.'s and their staffs in the hopes they refer you business. Rotech drives many good people away with their iron fist management style. In at least one of the senior manager's case, this job is his first big boy job and he loves to flex his muscles to the staff and let everyone know who he is. They also love, love , love spreadsheets - at least 6 a day and copied to everyone! In at least one case they called out people not meeting sales goals (copied to at least 45 people) and let them know they would now be part of a weekly call because of it- publicly shaming them. Reimbursement for private vehicle use is a joke! In my case they were reimbursing me at about $.32 per mile - however they get to write off $.59 per mile. Nothing like nickel and diming your salespeople. Stay far away from this company!

This review is for a different Rotech. We do not have the structure described - "a branch location manager, a region manager, Area sales manager, a regional manager, and a division manager". There are many other "Rotech"s in the world and this review is for a different one to ours.
