Pros

Good pay for those that survive layoffs

Cons

This place is the epitome of what is wrong with politics. Lazy, top-heavy leadership making a combined total of $750k a year while laying off their underpaid unionized staff. Great mission, and I wish they were capable of learning from their mistakes so that they could better support young candidates running for state and local office. But run for something is just an ego-project for the executive team.

Pros

Solid Benefits 4 day work week

Cons

-Very top-heavy. Lots of C-suit, few people actually doing the work -Poor budget management resulting in 22% of staff being laid off -Restructuring post-layoffs was haphazard and not strategic -Basic functions of the job are getting harder, and harder to do due to organizational dysfunction. -No plans to address systemic issues. -Not receptive to feedback from employees.

Pros

-- Amazing people. -- Meaningful work. -- Work/life balance. 4-day work week is a game changer. And people actually take their vacation.

Cons

Lack of transparency. Top-down / command & control style leadership.
