Pros

Truly a one-of-a-kind opportunity to become an expert in every job except the one you were hired for. You'll be constantly challenged not by ambitious goals or innovation but by the daily puzzle of figuring out who's doing what, why it’s being done, and whether it matters. You'll hone world-class improvisation skills, because there’s no process, no planning, and definitely no ownership. Ideal for those who find structure overrated, love surprise deliverables at 4:59 p.m., and aspire to one day say, “I survived this place” in future job interviews with a knowing smile.

Cons

If you’re someone who thrives in ambiguity, enjoys being surprised by your responsibilities, and doesn’t mind juggling multiple roles outside your job description (all while being compensated below market) this might be a great fit. A significant portion of your time will be dedicated to internal brands that don’t contribute to revenue. These projects often lack clear objectives, making them feel more like legacy hand-me-downs than strategic initiatives. There's a certain archaeological thrill in trying to figure out what these brands were once meant to be. New client acquisition is... unconventional and barely existent. For example, lengthy marketing audits (typically 30 to 40 pages) are generated using AI and sent to prospects as pitch material. Curiously, the documents aren’t always reviewed by a 'certain individual' before calls, as becomes apparent when questions are asked and the responses directly contradict what’s written. It adds a certain improvisational flair to meetings. These efforts often felt impersonal and disconnected from meaningful engagement, which limited their effectiveness. While there are a few team members who are committed and capable, overall morale tends to suffer. A culture of top-down feedback with a heavy emphasis on criticism often leaves team members feeling undervalued. Input from others is consistently dismissed in favor of one individual’s ever-shifting vision, which rarely brings clarity and often adds to the confusion. Key roles such as content managers, copywriters, and creative directors are notably absent, creating an environment where everyone pitches in on everything. Ownership of strategy is fluid (to put it generously), and content planning is frequently a game of "who feels like stepping up today?"

A Toxic Work Environment Fueled by Selfish Leadership

Pros

Despite the challenges we faced, I had the privilege of working with some incredibly talented and dedicated colleagues. We were a strong, collaborative group that always supported each other, even when leadership failed to provide the guidance or recognition we deserved.

Cons

The CEO's leadership style was both egocentric and selfish, prioritizing personal gain and recognition over the well-being of employees. His narcissistic behavior created a toxic environment where employees were treated as expendable, and any attempt at feedback or collaboration was ignored. This leadership approach not only led to high turnover but also fostered a culture of fear and mistrust. The lack of empathy and accountability from management made it nearly impossible to thrive, and I would strongly advise against working here if you value respect, growth, and a positive work culture.

Pros

This agency works with wellness brands so there's an opportunity to work with clients that are helping people

Cons

Awful communication from leadership. You will get very little guidance on your assignments and when you make a mistake you will not get feedback, you will simply get berated. The CEO is rude, out of touch with his team and lacks the tact and emotional intelligence required of a leader. My first clue should have been the interview. Like other reviewers said, he spoke only of himself and only asked me one question. He was also rude to another team member on our first staff call. I honestly which I would have jumped ship then.
