Senior Tax Consultant - Singapore Office
Pros
- Work life balance - Training grants, - Exam leaves. - AWS
Cons
- Management decided to abolish bonus payment to employees just because a certain employee requested for his two-month notice period to be shortened by utilising his annual leave balance. Made an example out of this employee and moving forward, no bonuses will be paid to employees who are leaving even though the cessatjon date falls after the bonus payment date. - Typical tyranny management expected of a Japanese company. Managing director is the only worthy leader of the company. Other directors are just so focused on protect their position and self-interests by downplaying employees’ contributions and forcing Senior Managers out. Lots of politics going on behind the scenes. - Pathetic annual increment (can-you-believe-it $100 or 2+%). Your increment percentage decreases as your salary increases (because the increment value is kept at a constant value i.e. $100 - $150 no matter what your rank is. The bulk of the pie (co’s profit) are consumed by the directors in huge chunks through their bonus payouts. - They will keep reasoning with you by saying that your increment is low because your bonus is high. And you will constantly wonder if your annual salary is ever going to increase with that pathetic $100 increment lmao. If you start off with a $2k salary, you will be drawing $4k at the end of 20 years lol.
