Pros

As an experienced teacher I am trusted to do things in my own way and enjoy most of the classes I teach there. I regularly have work and the managers are very relaxed and understanding, especially compared to a lot of organisations in the city. It's a good place to pick up hours as and when needed. You can pretty much set your own schedule. If you meet the requirements there is a low-cost Masters programme available also. On the whole, it's a really nice place to work and many people return after absences. There are some teachers who only work in the summer and return every year in between other gigs, and many who use it to top up hours alongside other employment. They are also diverse in their hiring policies.

Cons

Some TAs could use more training for the kids classes. Some syllabuses need review for the adult classes. There is often little to no communication between co-teachers which holds back student progress somewhat. All work is evening and weekend, but that's pretty normal in EFL. There ARE general english classes, which is rare in Vietnam, but they are often used as holding pens for teenagers who aren't old enough for the IELTS programmes, which can be frustrating for the older students. There's no career progression within the company and little teacher development. Unfortunately the biggest con currently is they are unable to sponsor Work Permits.

Pros

nice colleagues, good benefits, and high holiday bonus.

Cons

low salary and bonus after the pandemic, no development for the career path, there is nothing to learn here
