- Leadership genuinely cares about the company and employees and wants to find ways to make their jobs easier - Good amount of pay (when you factor in bonuses) - Was paid every quarterly and annual bonus during my tenure - Leadership is passionate about the work and doing the work well - Some of my coworkers were incredibly friendly and genuinely fun to hang out with
Cons
To be honest, the company reminds me of a story my grandfather used to tell me about a library that was constantly under construction because every new director came in with some bold new project and tried to build it up using the lumber from the previous director's project. But they always left before finishing. SEB Housing has grown from a small company, where it was forced to do things a certain way due to staffing and capacity constraints. During my time, we largely did things that same way (i.e. how people were trained) because that was how it had always been done. There was a definite need for change, but relatively little interest amongst more experienced employees in participating in that change or even just sharing their knowledge.
