Pros

Surrounded by young colleagues, creating an energetic atmosphere. The basic pay here is decent and often better than what you'd find in many other companies. You can make good friends here, but occasionally meet less trustworthy individuals.

Cons

- The workday begins and ends late, from 9:30 am to 7:00 pm, and the daily commute further extends your work-related commitments, leaving little time for personal life. - HR seems not employee-friendly. They appears more aligned with Chinese leadership than employee concerns. Their professionalism is questionable. - The attendance policy is overly strict, to the point where even if you're sick will affect your performance reviews. This applies to many teams, not just one. You're only allowed 6 sick leave a year, any more than that is unpaid leave. - High turnover rate. The fact that job openings are always open is a clear sign that employees are regularly leaving, even those who perform well. - Repetitive task - The onboarding process is very lacking. It started late, only give onboarding about HR regulation. Don't expect any training here. You're expected to manage tasks independently. If you make mistake, you'll be blamed of not asking everything at first. In summary, I wouldn't recommend working here unless your main focus is salary, and you don't expect to learn much. This is especially true for interns who are expected to perform at the level of full-timer. It can be quite demanding and might not align with your expectations for a learning experience.

Pros

Employees are of the same age. Mostly fresh graduate with max. 2 years of experience.

Cons

Everything is very badly managed here from the management's side and also from the HR's side. - The most despicable thing this company often do is to fire their employees with no notice at all and for reasons that don't make sense. They fire employees without going through a performance review first, it is very unacceptable and HR also never do much to protect the employees here. I am sure what they do is against the labor/employment law, but they do it ruthlessly anyway. With this behavior coming from the management, as an employee you will never feel safe working here because nobody will defend you, not even HR. - Growth wise, employees are not given a clear career path. You are expected to just do your job according to what's being told by the management. At the same time, you won't be having clear directions from them. Fast pace DOES NOT MEAN unclear directions. Your job title is also meaningless here because you will be expected to do everything all together anyway without considering your main task and the background of your skillset. With this system, don't expect a good career path. The managerial levels don't care about your professional growth. You will go nowhere by staying here. - Working hours is too long. No one needs a 1-and-a-half hour lunch break! No work-life balance here. They just expect people to work without considering employees' well being. It will be acceptable if being compensated by private health insurance and a normal 365 sick leave you can take, or other additional benefits. But you only have 6 days of sick leave. Honestly, no employees wish to be sick anyway! Why is this company having so many trust issues with the employees? With a long working hour and no work-life balance, no private health insurance, and limited sick leave, how can they expect employees to perform good? - HR department is a huge red flag. They treat work contracts like it's meaningless. HR don't care about employees, from what i see they only care about recruiting talents but no actions taken to retain their employees. Even in talent recruitment they still do it very poorly. Most of HR are inexperienced. Imagine your rights and well-being as an employee are in the hands of inexperienced intern-level people? I think they don't know how to build a healthy and sustainable working environment here. Looking at they way they fire people without considering the employee's own performance tells a lot about their incapability in managing human resources!! (OTHER RED FLAG: you have to ask to see your OWN PAYSLIP] - The management is filled with people who have very poor management and leadership skills. The decision making process is so weird because it's based on subjectivity. Employees cannot voice their insights in the decision making process, so they just take whatever the management tells. And sometimes, the management fails to give the right decision. How can they sustain a business this way? The virality of this brand probably happened based on luck too. What a shame because the product is good, but no one is capable of handling the business well. - Crisis handling is also very bad. Don't even know where to begin with this. So before the blame eventually being pointed at the senior/junior level employees, i suggest to RUN.

Pros

For freshgrads, this place is actually a good stepping stone for a pretty okay salary. You learn what it’s like to be in a really really fast paced industry whose main driver for everything is to be viral so you can learn some skills about how to be viral, and you meet good people who you essentially trauma bond with so it’s alright in those aspect.

Cons

Weird work hours? Working from 9-7; Monday to Friday in an office chained to a desk (regardless of the position and diivision); definitely will lead to you being burnt out but does the company care? they don’t. No sense of caring for the employee’s wellbeing at ALL, except for the monthly afternoon tea which also kind of just feels like a chore. HR is just like armors for the managers while the staff just fend for themselves with no support from their lead or whatsover. You can only be sick 6 times a year (unwritten rule), if you are in probation and you submit a sick leave, even with written doctor’s note, it counts as unpaid leave, so wait for 3 months to get sick. Even if you get sick, do not expect to get any added support in terms of health insurance, because even if there is a “provided” health insurance, when being applied there always seem to be a problem with it. REALLY high turnover rate, don’t be surprised at the amount of people you see leaving and the amount of new faces you see, because yes, it’s going to be a lot. The fact that they are always always hiring just means that people are constantly leaving. Despite this all, the company doesn’t feel the need to reflect that maybe they are the problem, and always turns the blame towards most employees being Gen-Z, but you hired them anyway? so maybe don’t hire Gen-Z’s next time. Since the company is relatively new and they are so motivated in getting fresh talent, it means the managerial and supervisor levels are also FRESH. Amount of job experience doesn’t equate you to being a good leader. Leaders in this company are people who aren’t ready to be leaders but are just being given power, so as you can expect…. they are just like bosses who bark orders and essentially don’t know what are they really doing, most of the time. They bark orders and take claim for successes, or get mad at employees for their failures or inquisitive questions (regarding SOP and flow of work), even though there wasn’t any kind of training or proper onboarding for team members by their supervisors in the start. DO NOT EXPECT to get a mentor here, because no, your supervisors will not take the time of day to teach you anything. Even if you are a freshgrad new to the industry, they just expect you to learn by doing, but again, mistakes are unacceptable despite the lack of training. If you want to get a proper mentor and learn about the industry better, let me just say go to other beauty companies where you clearly will be more valued. Favoritism is clearly seen, and applied very frequently, trying to be a big FMCG but applies rules and work systems of a family company. Don’t expect evaluations and reviews based on how well you work but rather how well you can suck up to your boss, is really what determines your growth in this company. This company is not target oriented, sales oriented or KPI oriented, it is BOSS-oriented, you just have to do whatever upper levels or managerial levels says, even if you are achieving your KPIs, if your boss doesn’t think so, then you didn’t achieve it.
