Pros

Daily deliverables are manageable. Free lunch.

Cons

Promotion: -It will take you a minimum of 3 years before they can consider you for regularization. Appraisal: -They will say you’re lucky enough if you get 500php per year. If you got 1k-2k, you are a child of God. Management: -Micromanagement everywhere. You even need to inform your lead/team if you do a bio break. -Lots of monitoring tools to track your productivity; They can’t rely on output alone. Skill Set: -You need to become a “favorite” before they consider you for up-skilling. -Old technologies; Traditional. Environment: -They will require you to go to office even in the midst of pandemic at 100% capacity. File a leave if you can’t. Benefits: -HMO coverage is super low. -If you are lucky enough to be a regular employee after 3yrs, you can only enjoy your 15VL & 15 SLs on your 5th year. If you are not a regular employee, you’ll only have 5 SILs/yr.

Pros

Perks of belonging to SMC conglomerate like free lunch, discounted price for San Miguel products

Cons

Management does not really care about its employees. Employees are not empowered. There is no room for learning, development, career and personal growth. Management is not open to ideas. The organization is not adaptable to change and innovation despite being an IT company. The pacing of the projects is very slow. The manager is the law. Employees are scared of voicing out their opinions or feedback for fear they will be tagged as “subversive” and will not be given opportunities. Employees are promoted by length of tenure and not really based on performance. Performance rating is flawed. No time for training because management only cares about the job. That’s the reason why a lot of the projects are not good because employees are not given proper trainings.

Pros

Great colleagues, family-oriented, laid back, some managers are great, some are so-so, some are just there, pressure is fairly manageable.

Cons

1. Uncompetitive salary. The management is not aware how their people are compensated. 2. Some of the policies they implement are not fit to their industry. They think one size fits all. Some are even ridiculous. 4. Lack of training in all areas 5. No protocol on how you will do your job 6. Most of the time, you will only learn depending on the opportunity they give you. 7. The implementations are very traditional, safe, the usual.
