Pros
SQream gave me the opportunity to work on technically challenging problems in data infrastructure, SQL compilation, distributed systems, and cloud-related backend services. I worked with talented engineers and learned a lot from deep technical discussions, especially around correctness, performance, and large-scale data systems. The engineering work itself was interesting and meaningful, with real impact on the product.
Cons
Like many growing companies, there were periods of uncertainty and changing priorities. At times, communication from leadership could have been clearer, especially around planning, roadmap changes, and organizational decisions.
