Pros

-Has somehow managed to remain in the good graces of TPG and China financiers -Some of the future slate selections show vision and good taste -Good place to go if you are early in your career and want to elevate your title

Cons

-CEO and former President overstated or blatantly misrepresented key facts across the board from the company’s numbers to current traction to past accomplishments to create leverage in a deal or momentary relevance -Constantly chasing the next “shiny ball” to get the company public and cash out. This naked money grab has not served the company nor culture well. Many of the phony “glowing” culture reviews on GlassDoor appear just weeks/days before the short-lived HongKong IPO listing in April -Terrible back-stabbing between executives that emanates from the top -Huge executive turnover caused by broken promises, awful communication and lack of integrity across the board -Cheap in stupid ways with talent, marketing and investment in the long term vision of the business beyond going public

Pros

I worked with a lot of creative and smart people during my time at STX. The company expanded a lot while I was there -- I worked on the film business but was able to dip my toe in VR and digital as well - so a lot of new experiences which was fun. Super collaborative environment -- the different divisions all work closely together which I think is unique.

Cons

Sometimes we didn't have enough resources to accomplish all we wanted to accomplish but I think as the company grows that will probably be less of an issue.

Startup with chaos and stress

Pros

I am not aware of any cons of working at this company. I just remember the cons I cam across.

Cons

IT WAS A TYPICAL STARTUP WITH A LOT OF CHAOS. Things were so disorganized that I felt I was a part of circus. The workload was super high, the stress levels were also at their peak, and no one could avoid working long, exhausting, brutal hours. The management needs to DO BETTER! Overall, I can't recommend this company to anyone. BEWARE!
