      Big impact, unfortunate turn of events

      Pros

      Massive scale meant our work was having a material impact in the fight against climate change. Also, it was inspiring to see the CEO build a truly international C-level team, with top management spanning the Pacific. I don't think I've seen a truly bicultural corporate culture since then.

      Cons

      Problems toward the end of Suntech's life are well documented. It's never fun to be on a sinking ship.

      During its heyday it was a great company: growing, employees treated well, helping to save the world with solar.

      Cons

      Management deteriorated. Company went bankrupt.

      Great company and great people. I was able to contribute and help make improvements more than is possible at other companies.

      Cons

      Company went into bankruptcy, so it was a great place to work until it went into financial trouble.
