Pros

Flexible Hours and some chips & coffee

Cons

Favoritism High-school drama & environment. Gossipers and instigators that are on management-level who talks about others behind their backs. The pressure to always make sales and forced to lie to customers to make sales Terrible management that doesn't listen to the workers. Management is aggressive/passive-aggressive. Pizza parties to cover-up issues that were left unsolved. No sense of loyalty. No yearly increase pay, you have to make sure they like you if you want a chance of pay-raise. You have to ask for a raise and the answer is usually "due to the economy" even if they have just made millions of dollars over a holiday weekend.

We hope that you are able to utilize these tools, and we always invite employees to reach out to management or HR with questions or concerns.

Pros

There are free snacks. That is the only benefit if you're into that.

Cons

Constantly having to lie about everything is a downer. Saatva uses Chinese manufacturers with no quality control for their materials. They do assemble in the USA as well, but what they don't tell you is their facilities are in prisons, where people are paid pennies an hour. The constant complaints we would get from customers who noticed the harsh chemicals in the mattresses, or the obvious lack of quality in the manufacturing was overwhelming. Being reprimanded unless we lied endlessly to customers was also depressing. The customer reviews are all completely fake and Saatva carefully only lists themselves on websites they can buy their way out of bad reviews on. Sharp customers have noticed their lack of presence on any of the major review platforms, including the #1 search and review platform.

While this review is simply false, we appreciate the opportunity to correct some misinformation. 100% of Saatva mattresses are handcrafted here in US factories by US workers. The vast majority of our mattress components are also manufactured in the US, and the small amount that comes from overseas adheres to strict standards (such as GOTS and OKEO TEX certification). We take great pride in our longstanding relationships with local manufacturing partners, and by no means have prisons ever been involved. The high standards we set for quality is reflected in our stellar reputation and customer reviews. Not only are we verified with third-party consumer review sites like Trustpilot and the Better Business Bureau, we have also been reviewed by some of the most trusted publications such as the New York Times and Consumer Reports. By keeping truth and transparency at the heart of everything we do, we believe that it will be reflected in our products, customers, and employees.

Pros

Good for college students who don’t have major responsibilities and can pocket the money just for themselves.

Cons

Clear favoritism with certain employees. Highly unprofessional management that create a high school-like environment with a lot of gossiping going around the office. Upper management allows their chosen employees to work as many hours and days as they’d like, they can come and go as they please. While other employees are penalized for taking a day off due to an emergency. They promise many things when you are hired, they make it seem promising that there is room for growth and while they will throw more responsibility along your way, they will not give you a raise. It is not commissioned sales but if you do not make the numbers they want to see from you, they will tell you that your work is not valuable to them not enough to be given a raise. Even after they assign you to work on something that is not meant to make sales. Yes, they could be flexible with your hours but only if it fits their needs. Otherwise, they do let you go. Paid time off, nope! Paid holidays only if you are scheduled to work that day. Otherwise, nope!

Thank you for sharing your viewpoints in this review. We agree that the employees are what make Saatva such a great company. While we offer competitive salaries, we recognize that a positive, supportive work environment is equally important. We are consistently investing in ways to incentivize and celebrate our teams, and build an uplifting company culture.
