Pros

Home every night, other than that there aren’t many pros to being a pilot at Flysafair

Cons

Punitive Culture, No benefits, no recognition as a pilot or as a professional, poor work/life balance, 1 weekend off every 6 weeks, unhappy and negative workforce. Poor leadership, unwillingness to follow industry best practices when it comes to rostering. Fatigue is ignored.

Pros

Do you like large flasks with a heart on them instead of a bonus? Great! Step this way. The poor people working here are actually fantastic and hold it all together.

Cons

Genuine narcissistic bullying culture. No intention to do anything that costs more than the bare minimum to employ enough people to run. Poor training standards. No just culture. Shockingly bad HR. Ego self centred charter mentality that circumstantially ended up as the largest airline in SA. Yet are so arrogant they don’t see the potential and value of what they have in their people. A clear policy of avoiding retention of crew due to the cost of loyalty. No pension contribution, no medical aid, no loss of license, aggressive training bonds, no parking paid for, no crew food, poorly managed leave, shocking low morale. Unless you are a pilot who’s only intention is to gain Boeing experience before leaving to somewhere that warrants you giving years of your professional integrity, this airline is a hard 1 Star, would not recommend!
