Pros

Learning new things. Being able to build a strong connection with both owners and pets.

Cons

I would not recommend this place to anyone. You come in, you work. Forget talking and discussing problems. Just like any other job you are disposable.

Pros

Had some really great coworkers here and got to see lots of sweet animals. Sometimes Sage would order us pizza if we were hard little workers.

Cons

For starters, this company can't keep employees for anything. Sad that after 3 months of being at the company, you become the senior employee. Communication here is so bad. Dr. Sage has unreachable expectations and expects people to be able to read her mind and what she wants and if you can't, then you're just disposable. The training that takes place here is all over a zoomlike video. Hardly any in person training so it is hard to know exactly what is expected of you. Running MRI's and CT's is not something that is best learned from a video. But apparently that is how Sage expects you to learn. There is a program that she has to learn and get certified to be an imaging Vet and its about a year long program but she is 0 help. You are basically self teaching yourself in this program and then expected to have all knowledge and if you are not up to her standards, you are tossed out. Not only wasting a year on this pathetic program that didn't get you anywhere but also wasting money on a company that couldn't care less about you. The main office in Round Rock seems to do ok and i know that Sage wants to make her Sandy one the same, but that will never happen. She is an absent owner and thinks she can run it from several states away. It is honestly just a mess. The Sandy business is going downhill quickly. In one instance, we got fentanyl in the clinic without the proper licensing for it and she wanted the vet tech to be in charge of it and taking any fall for what happens. She didn't care that they would lose their license. She rushed getting this clinic together and completely skipped over doing things correctly just so she could start making money. If you want to risk your career or Veterinary license then this is the place for you because you definitely will lose it all here. Also, they won't do any sort of check ins to see how you are doing. If you have anything that needs improvement, they won't do a one on one with you, they will just fire you out of the blue. The head technician in Round Rock and Sage are the best of friends and will talk so much trash on anyone but then will tell everyone how important it is to be kind to each other and treat everyone with respect. It is a very toxic place so beware of that. While in the program, the Vets had to take a significant pay cut. They were basically making pennies and were expected to be oncall 24 hours a day. At times they were called in the middle of the night from Sage and she wanted them to come into the office at 3 in the morning because she had documents that she wanted them to read over. I really don't know how they functioned because she never allowed them to sleep. Also forget having a family while you are here because your main priority is what Sage wants. She turned the program of learning how to MRI, CT scan, and Ultrasound into forcing other people to run her business because she is incapable of doing it.

Pros

Working with animals and great local.

Cons

C-level staff are two faced. They will say they are supportive and that you are doing a great job, but the second you question anything or they feel they may “look bad” they turn on their own staff. The Utah clinic is sinking cause they keep trying to make it exactly like the toxic Texas clinic. They can’t keep a doctor or staff. They have had above the standard or even high turn over for a start up company in both Utah and Texas. C-level people talk about creating a great work environment but are a part of the toxic environment. Reprimand employees for “gossiping” but actively gossip themselves. Not a company I recommend working for, not in their current state. Great business idea but not a great environment. Majority of their staff don’t make it past a year (both quit and fired employees)
