Terrible

Pros

There is no pros of working here

Cons

Absolutely terrible. The entire experience is atrocious. Culture is toxic (all junior employees are miserable). Junior employees are constantly looking to leave because of how bad it is, there is very high turnover, and overall company attitude is always extremely low. You will be working very long hours every week and most saturdays and sundays throughout the year. Awful deal flow. The majority of the working you will be doing is pitches and profiles. Many of the MDs who brought in deals have all left the firm. Bonuses are significantly below street averages (~30-40% lower). Recruiters think awfully of the firm, and thus, exit opportunities are very hard to come across. Do not make the mistake of joining the firm if you want to break into IB - you will immediately regret it, definitely look elsewhere.

Pros

The junior guys are as nice as you will ever find.

Cons

The culture is very toxic. For years they have fired first year analysts pretty much with every review cycle which has really created a toxic culture. Their largest deal marker recently left the firm. Take my review with a grain of salt and do your own homework... I am sure you will get the same results. Also recruiters generally look down on the firm. Comp is also below street - while they like to say they pay street, they are well below bulge brackets and top boutiques.

Pros

Potential to work on great deals with senior bankers with a wide variety of styles and MOs. Senior bankers can see what juniors are doing - opportunity to stand out (for good or bad). Mostly thoughtful staffing decisions.

Cons

A little light on back-office infrastructure and benefits compared to a bulge bracket or elite boutique. Wide variety of MD styles and MOs creates risk of getting stuck with the wrong one. Choppy growth. Buy-side recruiting is possible but needs to be managed very carefully depending on your situation.
