Pros
Co-workers are supportive and do their best to keep each other sane. Staff meals are provided from time to time.
Cons
Owners are highly dysfunctional, inconsistent, and nepotistic. Gaslighting is the primary "management strategy." Professionals come in -- new hires are generally treated well, partly as a means of intimidating existing staff -- and then they're gradually stripped of autonomy. Growth is almost non-existent. CEO enjoys ambushing staff with unplanned meetings, sometimes not even to discuss actual work but to impose his alt-right political views. He also enjoys openly insulting staff to each other and musing about who should be fired next, which naturally creates a culture of fear and insecurity. Business-oriented directives often shift on a dime from week to week, or even day to day. Leadership's motivations are often totally paranoid. Oh, and the benefits are dismal.
