in office M-F, 8-5 Fair salary, monthly commission, health benefits, yearly discretionary bonus
Cons
Too much overhead costs to compete with competitors. Cashflow tied up in too many low-priority activities to produce where there is a demand. 24/7/365 is the sales schedule. This means a typical week is now 7am-630pm and you are now collecting orders and scheduling delivery in order to meet customers needs on weekends. If you are an outdoor enthusiast that relies on evenings before dusk and weekends to recharge, you are going to be drained and resentful towards the company. It is only more frustrating when management/owners are unavailable to assist with job costing and approval outside of office hours.
