Unreasonable Expectations

Pros

25% staff discount and working alongside fun people at the store level.

Cons

Remuneration is miserly across all levels of the company, amongst the worst in retail (and that's saying something), despite upper management constantly announcing bigger and better profits than the previous year. Store level staff, including managers, expected to balance huge workloads with customer service expectations due to the ridiculous wage budgets, which are forever being reduced, resulting in unpaid hours being worked just to ensure expectations are met. Hard work is rarely, if ever, recognised and career opportunities are nonexistent.

Pros

People at store level are great, they work really hard. Most customers are easy to deal with as they are happy with purchases.

Cons

Where to begin... Expectations extremely high, zero reward Unprofessional management Third world pay rate All processes outdated, no future outlook Zero investment back in to the business Focus on 'busy work' with rubbish tasks Cookie cutter employee mentality NEVER rock the boat or you'll be out the door Expectation to do the same thing everyday and expect different results - insanity!

Pros

The relationships you form with your regular customers

Cons

The pay is worse than dismal Area managers that are off sick at least once a week Area managers straight out lie to your face Upper management think are the 'cool kids' from high school If I get referred to as dude one more time... 3hr a week part time contracts ( this includes assistant manager contracts ) Jess Mauboy EVERY conference The ridiculous idea that a store needs to comp on last year in this digital age Cutting bonus payments Illegally rostering team in store by themselves for 5 hours - you better have a big bladder! Kpi expectations are stupid, when there's no recognition if you actually do well at your job. If you're not kissing your area managers behind you will get nowhere!!!
