Pros

1. You get to see planes taking off and landing if your office is situated in the sweet spots of Air Freight Terminals. 2. It is so inefficient that your work cannot reach you in time and therefore it becomes tomorrow's problem. 3. Cheap canteen food. 4. Jaw dropping experience of witnessing Human Capital and Admins that are stuck in pre-2000 mindset and work style. 5. Fast-tracked promotion if you happen to be a female.

Cons

1. Human Resource offered me a salary package that was within my expectations but revised it a day before I signed the employment contract. At that point I had rejected other offers and needed a job badly. 2. There are a lot of terms and condition when it comes to payroll and increment that are not easily accessible. If there are any, it is usually not the full clause. Some clauses even require the staff to return a certain amount of their monthly salary upon resignation. 3. SOPs are just verbal agreements. Each and every process is as sloppy as it gets before a plane falls out of the sky. If you do find a hardcopy/softcopy of it, it probably exist solely for audit purposes. 4. Even if you do end in a good department where everyone are decent human beings, well I did but chances are the mess from everywhere else is still going to reach you. 5. If you are joining as exec, good for you. (Skip 5.1) 5.1. If you are a non-exec, there’ll be staff grading systems and nobody cares about you if you are a graded staff. Your pay grade will be low enough get a laugh from a FT cleaner. You will experience nothing but poor treatment. For example, both legitimate ideas to improve workflow and operational needs are ignored. 6. Increment given is rather humorous. 7. This is the only place on the planet that somehow two wrongs is equal to a right. 8. Strong Union who makes biased decision that further corrupt SOPs. Operation departments will take advantage of that and it causes a lot of downstream issues. 9. Silo work culture. Each department only cares for their area of work which they complete with zero regard for the processes downstream. 10. You will be encouraged to chip in for a farewell party of a VP or SVP despite the miserable monthly salary. If you somehow still wish to join, I wish you all the best because things will only get worse from here.

Pros

Work for experience and jump into a better company at aviation sector,

Cons

Staff are treated badly at SATS. I joined as an AO. Though you will be shocked to know that non-degree holders basic salary starts from $1xxx. It’s not even $2k. They are required to work in 3 rotating shifts. Working freelance as Grab or McDonalds pays better then that. Unprofessional HR - saw one of them at career fair (short guy) who provided a curt attitude to my friend and even rolled his eyes. She left her contact details but got ghosted. I got the experience that I needed and have left SATS to join another company that pays its AOs much better.
