Pros

The only pros are some of the staff. Management is a complete joke.

Cons

They advertise 14-17 an hour. You get told by their HR maybe they can get you more. You go in for your second interview and are told no. They start everyone at the same wage. If you are not LDS don't plan on being there long. No training. Team leads use you as a scapegoat. They say they do not have a high turnover, yet people quit or are fired on a continuous basis. They are nice at first but the longer you are there you see the real Sceptre.

Pros

Bonuses pay lunch snacks Gail

Cons

Good place to work IF, you're a FAMILY member, FRIEND of a family member, attend the same "religious" organization AND share the same "religious" beliefs, you're gonna LOVE IT! Once owner retired & turned company over to her daughter EVERYTHING changed, she's horrible at management and BLATANTLY plays favorites! ABSOLUTELY no room for advancement. EVER. If you don't believe me, check out their turn over rate!

Pathetic Company

Pros

Lenient about your schedule. This company is all women, so they understand most of us have kids and needs.

Cons

Horrible training. I had no billing background. I felt I was given a brief overview of how the company ran and then was set loose. I was employed for 6 months total. In that time I was written up twice. After the first write up they changed what I was working on. I was trained on this task for about 4 days and then let loose. I had to write my own notes and the process was different between other billers. The company was adding more clients and the automated systems set in place couldn't keep up and was causing a ridiculous amount of problems. This caused my daily process to literally change daily so it was kind of like a guessing game. Then I was written up again because I was "taking too long" to finish my job and was making too many errors. I was also told I was asking too many questions. I was given 15 days to become faster and be error free, even though I wasn't told what errors I was making. I was afraid to ask for help for fear I would lose my job for "asking too many questions." 2 weeks before Christmas I was let go because I was still making errors and the company needed me to be error free. I asked what errors I was still making and what they told me I wasn't even aware was an issue! I kept asking for further explanation and the manager just kept bringing the conversation back to how I can return my equipment. My immediate manager threw me under the bus soooooo many times, but acted like we were great friends. If you have medical billing experience this might be a great fit for you. If you're trying to get into the industry I would look elsewhere. They'll give you 6 months with very little training and if you aren't error free in that time they'll fire you. I always felt like I was on pins and needles, felt that I couldn't ask questions. If I did ask a question more often than not I got a rude response. They are so busy they literally can't stop to help, and if they do I felt I was a burden.
