Pros
The interns have the opportunity to work with the entire team, including mentorship from directors, and get to work on independent projects and learn many microbiology and biotechnology skills and techniques. The entire team is very approachable and willing to teach interns with little prior experience. Working in startup can be demanding, but it also provides you with the opportunity to participate in many projects and develop skills. SciBac gave me a unique opportunity to try out many different projects and to fully understand my potential and what I really want to do in life.
Cons
As for any startup, it is a fast-paced work environment and quite demanding. I think this is also a pro since you get to work with team of hard-working people and learn a lot.
