Pros

A lot of money goes into this camp to make it a very fun experience for the campers, educational, and outdoors

Cons

- my superior was a 20 year old lead of our program who frequently had outbursts with a new employee who had been hired with very little training into the camp specific program, conspired with other staff to slowly separate them from the rest of the team and engagement with the kids. When the employee that was being targeted took it up with the camp leadership they said they would have a talk with her to address the bullying but never did, forced the employee to continue to work around the bullying 24/7 and then fired the employee for having low energy / being sad. The management prioritizes the camper experience and the $$$ that they receive from the families over the well being of g of their staff. I was not the only one that summer that left because of similar circumstances. 7 other camp counselors quit the same program I was in throughout the summer. I felt like everyone was working against me secretly behind my back for days and was trying to find a way to get rid of me

Pros

Some Pros at first, but once you start working here they go away very quickly and you will regret it.

Cons

The two people that run and own this company are a husband and wife. They start out very nice making you feel like you are apart of "the family". That's the tactic they use to manipulate good people with talent into working for them. Before you know it you will be absolutely miserable working here. If you are going to accept a position here I highly suggest having an exit strategy. The husband and wife dynamic creates a very dysfunctional environment, because you will constantly be stuck between their relationship issues. They both are pretty immature people to work for, which seems to make these issues never end. One will want you to do something one way and the other one will want it done a differently. So you will be stuck between that power struggle as well. They also have some serious problems with trust, which has lead to them putting cameras up any place they can possibly put them. They will explain to you they've hired you because they only hire the best, but then will constantly be monitoring you any way that they can. They also play favorites, which gets pretty bad causing tension with the people you work with. Working here is an extremely unhealthy place to put yourself in and a very toxic environment to be around.
