First of all, I was a part timer here. When I was interviewed, was told that they would put me into 3 locations only. After a weeks of working, I was told to go to another branch where I didn't said it was a convenient location for me to travel to. I was told about it right when I left my house and won't be able to reach on desired time. Always last minute. Changing of location wasn't updated the day before always update the very last minute on the day itself. Changing the roster and always reason is shortage of staff. When it comes to me saying that I have something going on the last minute on this day, you will end up getting scolding even though they are giving you the same treatment.
Second of all, manager kept spying on me through cctv. I know it is my responsibility to do my work as a staff. Manager will text the full timer with a recording of me saying that I didn't do my job and didn't serve the customer. I was doing the stocks ofc I had to stand behind the counter to scan the items and the full timer told me to take continue doing what I'm doing and they will handle the customer.
The system also will always have problems. Discount if didn't auto apply and using the "others" option in the code will also get scolding. One more thing I worked here for 5 months on the last few weeks before I thought to quit, I was told to take only 45 minutes break??? Like excuse me on the letter of appointment stated ' 6 hours or more of work entitled of 1 hour of break' don't twist your words here OK lady. It feels like I'm getting aimed just to satisfy their boringness. Just because I'm a singaporean you can take advantage of me. Especially to the retail executive (Leah Arubang).
As this is my first job here as a student I DON'T RECOMMEND IT. The toxicity is bad. Management is bad and so unprofessional. I feel so bad for my fellow students working there trying to work and managing school at the same time. Please always do your research before applying for a job.
